Euroweb Romania and Globema start collaboration for implementing a Network Inventory System

The project represents one of the investments the Romanian telecom operator made recently, following the new business strategy adopted in 2012

Bucharest, December 5th, 2012 – Euroweb Romania announces the signing of a collaboration agreement with Globema Romania, a company specialized in the delivery, deployment and integration of comprehensive IT solutions. The Swallworld-based solution delivered and implemented by Globema for Euroweb Romania will replace the old suite of applications used currently by the Romanian telecom operator.
“The changes that have appeared during the last years in the Romanian telecommunication environment, including the projects started by the local authorities, such as Netcity in Bucharest and Ductcity in Cluj, lead to the need for further investments in our network infrastructure. We started looking for a complex solution to help us deal with all the challenges we faced”, said Stuart Evers, CEO Euroweb Romania. “Globema solution convinced us and we strongly believe that at the end of this project both Euroweb and our clients will feel the added value brought by this investment. This state-of-the-art tool from Globema allows us to have real-time and instant access to network information, which will allow us to greatly improve our time to market and, most importantly, our customer service and care”.
The project started in July 2012 and is estimated to end in the first quarter of 2013. The signed agreement between Euroweb and Globema covers the delivery & implementation of a comprehensive Network Inventory System (NIS), including Operation Support System (OSS) modules.

“We are very pleased to have the chance to collaborate with Euroweb in this project”, said Cosmin Albu, Business Development Director of Globema Romania. “Even from the beginning, the project proved to be complex and challenging, because it combines implementation of Network Inventory System (NIS) with complete migration and consolidation of data stored in the previous suite of applications, and with integration of NIS with selected map services. The solution chosen by our partner is based on Smallworld PNI (Physical Network Inventory) and includes Globema PRM (Physical Route Manager) & ONA (Optical Network Atlas) modules, as well as other applications supporting everyday telecom business processes.”
