The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 15-inch is a mixed bag. On one hand, it's compact, aims above its class with the build quality and choice in materials, and is snappy enough with daily use, while keeping nearly silent in most cases. On the other, inputs are rather finicky on this series, and the Intel Core 7 150U hardware platform is a tough sell right now. However, with later discounts, this could be a competitive choice, just make sure you carefully read the specs sheets.
